Tapestry crochet chart: Azulejo Tiles

About this pattern

Interlocking diamond rings in cobalt on glazed cream, each with a saffron or terracotta core, inside a terracotta border. Four colors, worked flat in single crochet with no shaping. Every edge in it is horizontal, vertical or 45 degrees, the angles a grid draws without a staircase, so there is not one isolated stitch and no run shorter than two anywhere in the chart. Around ten color changes a row, but the same rhythm in every row rather than scattered, which is a different thing to work. Finishes around 25 by 48 cm, a runner for a table or a long panel for a wall.

  • Four-color symbol chart, readable even printed in black and white
  • Written row-by-row pattern with color runs and RS/WS sides
  • Yarn legend with stitch counts for each color
  • Printable PDF, US Letter
